La Aduana: 1966 Land Rover Series IIA 109

We know they are slow, uncomfortable, and only moderately reliable when compared to the off-road vehicles of today; yet we continue to love them despite those issues. While their heritage plays a role in that, I think it’s the rugged and almost unapologetic design that really wins us over. Series Rovers like this one aren’t trying to be something they’re not. It doesn’t have a plush interior or anything that could even resemble luxury, just what it needs to get the job done. That’s how it should be though, instead of isolating you behind thick soundproofing doors they remind us why we travel in the first place, to experience the world around us.
