If I was looking to buy a mid-size truck, I’d consider the Colorado ZR2 (especially the Bison model) which offers engaging on-road performance, excellent capability, and a well-equipped interior. Moreover, I think the ZR2 is one of the best looking mid-size trucks and really stands out against its competitors. I’m not the only fan, with Publisher Scott Brady suggesting the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 could dethrone the previously uncontested mid-size champion, the Toyota Tacoma. We’ve featured a number of adventure-ready offerings, including this 2020 ZR2 Diesel w/ Alu-Cab Canopy Camper, a 2020 ZR2 Bison Diesel, and a 2020 Bison w/ Super Pacific Camper. Both the petrol V6 and the Duramax 2.8-liter diesel motors are highly regarded, but I’d opt for the latter which is said to return an impressive 25-30 mpg on the highway. Today’s ZR2 has covered just 45,000 miles, showcases premium modifications, and is topped with a desirable Alu-Cab Canopy Camper.
From the Seller:
“I bought the camper in March of 2021 and only used it for one season. Approximately 14 days of use total. It’s in perfect condition. Just had a baby and it’ll be a little tight for three people and two dogs, so I’m looking to upgrade to something larger. Below you will see upgrades that I did myself. All of them have been functional so far, particularly the electrical system, which has had no problems.”
2017 Colorado ZR2
This ZR2 is fitted with a 3.6-liter motor that produces 308 horsepower, 275 pound-feet of torque, and returns 16/18 mpg (city/highway). This punchy V6 engine provides an engaging on-road experience and propels the truck to 60 mph in under seven seconds. The Colorado is also impressive when the tarmac ends, thanks to 4WD, skid plates, a two-inch lift, high and low range, front and rear locking differentials, and intelligent onboard systems such as Hill Descent Control. Inside, you’ll find a well-equipped interior with comforts that include:
