Trinitē Road Rally Announces Inaugural 2026 Event in Northern California, Concluding at Sonoma Raceway

The Trinitē Road Rally has announced plans for its inaugural event, scheduled to take place from May 4 through May 7, 2026, in the Golden Gate and Northern California regions, culminating at Sonoma Raceway. The rally’s organizers are associated with the team behind Rebelle Rally, and describe the event as a motorsport experience designed to bring together drivers, vehicles, and enthusiasts in a structured yet accessible competitive setting. Unlike traditional races that emphasize outright speed, the Trinitē Road Rally will focus on accessibility, navigation, precision, roadbook skills, and adventure driving.

The event is positioned as a multi-day driving challenge that will blend staged competition with tour-like segments, incorporating scenic routes and established motorsport venues. Participants will complete three days of rally competition, followed by one day at Sonoma Raceway, a well-known circuit in Northern California. This format aims to balance the demands of competitive driving with the enjoyment of open roads and crafted routes.

A key element of Trinitē’s mission is to make motorsport more inclusive and welcoming to a broader range of participants. The event organizers have highlighted that the rally welcomes all levels of experience, from seasoned motorsport competitors to those relatively new to regularity rallying. The regularity format itself stresses accuracy in maintaining set average speeds over segments of road rather than the fastest outright times. Rally participants are scored on how closely they match the prescribed times and on their accurate navigation using roadbooks, which adds a strategic and navigational dimension to the competition.

In addition to covering a broad range of skill levels, the rally aims to boost women’s participation in automotive and adventure motorsports. While open to all, organizers maintain a women-focused approach to foster female leadership and involvement.

Rally organizers have also highlighted the inclusion of “epic routes” and handpicked venues designed to offer distinctive driving experiences. These elements are designed to appeal to drivers who value well-crafted road journeys as part of their motorsport experience. The event’s finish at Sonoma Raceway adds a recognized motorsport backdrop to what would otherwise be a competition on public or open roads, providing a structured environment for drivers to compete on track after several days of regularity and navigation sections.

To support participation, organizers plan to provide instruction on roadbook reading, both online and onsite, during the event’s technical inspection phases. This instructional component is intended to ensure that newcomers to the format can engage with the challenge effectively, reducing barriers to entry for participants without prior regularity rally experience.
