As rally organizers gear up for this year’s full season, I know I’m not the only one looking forward to getting back into the swing of things. Overland rallies are where like minds come together, bundling up for nightly bonfire raffles, visiting with colleagues and friends, listening to stories from knowledgeable presenters, and attending workshops.
After a 2-year hiatus, the Hylands’ overland rallies (Northwest, BC, and Rocky Mountain) are returning under one umbrella in 2022—the Overland Adventure Rallies. “Our attendees and vendors wanted us to bring all three of our events together for the convenience of planning and booking, so we put all three shows into one central website and created a new overarching brand name at the same time,” organizer Ray Hyland said.
This family-friendly rally series features 4WD trail drives and instruction, women’s classes, an array of workshops for kids, morning yoga, photography and cinematography seminars, wine tasting, and more. Rally venues have been chosen thoughtfully, often featuring enticing mountain scenery.
“Connect, learn, grow and explore. Whether you’re brand new to the scene or an old hand at this stuff, the community at the Rallies is excited to meet you! A place for families of all ages, friends, even pets… there’s room for everyone.”
