The Cold Start Off-Road Riding Clinic Returns to Baja California This May

Back for its second run, and with a focus on ADV 101 skills, the Cold Start Off-Road Riding Clinic and Culinary Experience will take place from May 5 to 11, 2023, in Baja, California. Leaving from Ensenada, the 5-day ride hugs the coast to San Quintin and includes workshops on packing and planning for a moto trip, camping, and safety.

With several solo and group ride options, participants are free to roam on their own or join others for a more social experience. The itinerary also leaves room for optional half-day riding courses and a free day for fishing, horse riding, or a foodie tour in Ensenada.

Guests are welcome to sign up for an additional skills clinic with dual sport instructor and guide Donni Reddington from Skool of Moto or ADV bike instructor and guide Dusty Wessels of West38 Moto for a separate cost.

Two clinic packages are available: Coasting and Full Send. The Coasting package includes two daily meals (plus snacks), all cultural and culinary experiences, ADV-focused workshops, on-trail mechanical assistance, and event shuttle transfers. The Full Send package is more all-inclusive and includes lodging and camping, camping equipment, airport and border transfers, Baja Bound bike insurance, and logistics assistance. Several a la carte activities are also available to add on.

Included meals feature a local menu, including partners such as 2187, Natural y Mineral, Coyote Cal’s, Eucalipto, Infito Winery, Cervezeria Transpeninsular, and more.

Professional photography will be captured by Westx1000 throughout the event.

Event participants will enjoy a 40% discount from Rev’It upon registration. There are prerequisites for the clinic, so inquire with Cold Start before reserving your spot.
