The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 Tire To Be Available in More Than 100 Sizes

Long considered an elite tire for overland travel, the BF Goodrich All-Terrain has reliably helped adventurers explore remote corners of the globe. The new All-Terrain T/A KO3 is being touted as a worthy successor to the widely respected All-Terrain T/A KO2. This new tire integrates advanced technologies to meet the increasing demands of off-road enthusiasts, promising enhanced performance and durability. By 2026, there will be an astonishing total of 106 KO3 sizes available.

The rollout of the All-Terrain T/A KO3 will be gradual, beginning with 13 sizes in May, followed by 17 additional sizes in August and five more in October. The launch will extend into the following years, with 52 sizes scheduled for 2025 and 19 in 2026. A broad range of sizes will be available from R16 to R22, and 15-inch diameter options will later be available during the 2025/2026 launch phase. We old-school Land Rover guys are really hoping for a 255/75 R16; we will have to wait and see if that size makes the cut.

Improvements in the KO3 tire are substantial. It boasts enhanced wear performance, greater durability on gravel roads, and superior snow traction while maintaining the robust sidewall toughness and soft soil traction that characterized the KO2 tire.

BFGoodrich has designed the KO3 with a new tread pattern and an updated all-terrain tread compound to ensure extended durability and even wear. This tire features an optimized footprint and full-depth 3D locking sipes that enhance tread life, particularly on challenging surfaces like gravel.

The KO3 tire also incorporates CoreGard Technology, enhancing sidewall toughness—a feature that has earned it the Baja Champion badge. Additionally, the tire’s Advanced Deflection Design is engineered to deflect objects away from the sidewall, preventing potential damage.

In terms of traction, the All-Terrain T/A KO3 tire is claimed to excel in adverse conditions. Its serrated shoulder design and Mud-Phobic Bars build on the KO2 tire’s performance in mud and snow, earning it the Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake severe-snow rating, so no need to carry snow chains for the Donner Pass!

BFGoodrich claims that the new All-Terrain T/A KO3 not only matches but exceeds the performance of its predecessor in wear, durability on gravel roads, and snow traction.

According to Harold Phillips, Global General Manager at BFGoodrich, the development of the KO3 tire represents a significant step forward.

“BFGoodrich Tires’ legendary toughness has been made tougher with the creation of the All-Terrain KO3 tire. We’ve done a lot of racing and research in the 10 years since we launched the KO2 tire, so a decade of data, feedback, technology and experience went into the development of the KO3 tire. We are our own competition, and we knew it was time to take the all-terrain tire to another level. It will be exciting to see what consumers will do – at work and at play – with the KO3 tire.”

This latest addition to the Terrain Family of BFGoodrich tires has a 50,000-mile warranty and a 60-day satisfaction guarantee.
