Lineup Announced for the 2022 Adventure Travel Film Festival

film festival

Offering several opportunities for fun-filled weekends this summer, the Adventure Travel Film Festival has returned with two locations for 2022: Perthshire, Scotland (July 8 to 10, 2022) and Cotswolds, UK (August 12 to 14, 2022).

The Festival’s lineup includes a tantalizing array of independent adventure travel stories. Filmgoers will join Naresh Kumar’s tandem bike journey from India to Germany and witness Fred Spaven’s drive from Land’s End to John O’Groats on an electric-converted 1961 Enfield Bullet. If two wheels aren’t your thing, perhaps a 600-kilometer kayak trip through the outer islands of Croatia, walking beside nomadic caravan communities in India, or boarding the Trans-Siberian railway will leave you feeling inspired.

The goal of the Adventure Travel Film Festival is to showcase the best independent adventure travel films, guarantee a platform for future filmmakers, and bring together the travel community. The event includes two days of camping and features various speakers, slideshows, and vendors.

Ashley Giordano completed a 48,800-kilometer overland journey from Canada to Argentina with her husband, Richard, in their well-loved but antiquated Toyota pickup. On the zig-zag route south, she hiked craggy peaks in the Andes, discovered diverse cultures in 15 different countries, and filled her tummy with spicy ceviche, Baja fish tacos, and Argentinian Malbec. As Senior Editor at Overland Journal, you can usually find Ashley buried in a pile of travel books, poring over maps, or writing about the unsung women of overlanding history. @desktoglory_ash
