XGrid Campers Expands Lineup with the Launch of the Iconn E4 Hybrid Caravan

Las Vegas-based XGrid Campers has recently introduced the Australian-built Lifestyle Campers Iconn E4 hybrid caravan following the successful US debut of the Fusionn hybrid caravan (the larger brother of the Iconn E4) earlier this year at Overland Expo West. The Iconn E4 offers American consumers a robust and feature-rich option for off-road adventures, designed to be suitable for the North American market while combining the durability and off-road capabilities that have made Lifestyle Campers a household name in Australia. Before you ask, the Iconn E4 is designated a hybrid caravan because it combines the features of both a traditional caravan and a camper trailer, offering the comforts of a caravan with the off-road capabilities and compact design of a camper trailer.

The Iconn E4, with a pop-top roof and sleek modern interior, is designed with versatility and comfort in mind, offering three distinct floor plans (base prices for all three are listed at the end of this article) that cater to various needs and preferences. The available layouts include a double bunk configuration, a dinette with a separate ensuite and toilet, and a triple bunk option, providing a solution for families of all sizes, including those with up to five members.

The Iconn E4 features a heavy-duty, off-road suspension with independent coil springs and shock absorbers for a stable ride on rough terrain. Its galvanized, welded chassis and robust body construction ensure durability. All-terrain tires on alloy wheels offer excellent traction on diverse surfaces, enhancing off-road performance. In addition to its impressive standard features, the Iconn E4 offers a range of optional upgrades that allow users to customize the caravan to their specific needs and preferences. One such option is the Cruisemaster air suspension, which enhances the caravan’s ride quality and off-road performance, making it an ideal choice for those planning to tackle rough terrain.

The caravan comes with a Victron inverter charger, MPPT solar controller, and DC-to-DC charging system, providing reliable power management for extended trips in remote locations. The 400 amp-hour lithium battery and 700-watt solar panels included as standard ensure that the Iconn E4 is well-equipped for long stays in off-grid locations. At the same time, the rooftop air conditioner provides a welcome respite from hot summer days.

One of the standout features of the Iconn E4 is its internal ensuite with shower, which can be equipped with either a cassette or composting toilet, offering users a choice between traditional and eco-friendly waste management options. This feature, along with the caravan’s ample water storage and efficient water usage systems, ensures that travelers can enjoy the comforts of home even when venturing far off the beaten path. The pillow-top queen bed with side access is another notable feature, offering a comfortable sleeping arrangement that is easily accessible from both sides, further contributing to the caravan’s user-friendly design.

Storage is another area where the Iconn E4 excels, with ample space to accommodate the needs of any family. The caravan includes large external storage compartments as well as thoughtfully designed internal storage solutions, ensuring that everything from camping gear to personal belongings can be neatly stowed away. The addition of a wardrobe closet, which allows for hanging clothes, further enhances the Iconn E4’s practicality for extended trips with fashion-conscious passengers.

With the addition of the Iconn E4 to its US lineup (that includes the Track Trailer Tvan featured on Expedition Portal earlier this year), XGrid Campers now offers a comprehensive range of hybrid caravans to American consumers. In addition to the Iconn E4, the company’s US offerings include the Reconn, Fusionn, and Iconn E2 models, each available in multiple trim levels to suit a variety of needs and budgets.
