It’s finally that time of year for Overlanders to make their annual migration East and get their fill of fall colors, beautiful back roads, and of course maple syrup. Yes, I’m talking about the Northeast Overland Rally, hosted in the beautiful state of Vermont. For anyone who isn’t familiar with the event, check out the summary below and sign up now before it’s too late!

Overland International’s Northeast Overland Rally & Workshop, October 9-12, provides a chance for northeast-based overlanding enthusiasts to come together for a weekend of learning, adventuring and, most of all, bonding with fellow overlanders. With its picture-perfect venue in Rockingham, Vermont, the NEORW provides the ideal setting for a more relaxed and unstructured workshop experience. Unlike other overlanding gatherings, the NEORW program includes ample opportunity for its participants to get out in their overland vehicles and enjoy a real taste of the Vermont overlanding experience. From the on-campus trail network to the OEX off-road driving clinic to the extreme recovery seminar led by ’93 Camel Trophy Winner, Michael Hussey, to the stunningly scenic ancient road overland outings, the NEORW has an adventure for everyone. Sign up today at: http://www.vermontoverland.com/neorw/!

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, Chris didn’t receive a real taste of the outdoors until moving to Prescott, Arizona, in 2009. While working on his business degree, he learned to fly and spent his weekends exploring the Arizona desert and high country. It was there that he fell in love with backcountry travel and four-wheel drive vehicles, eventually leading him to Overland Journal and Expedition Portal. After several years of honing his skills in writing, photography, and off-road driving, Chris now works for the company full time as Expedition Portal's Senior Editor while living full-time on the road.
