The Inflatable POD-01 Tent by EXØD Might Be the Camp Solution You Have Been Waiting For

Thanks to the evolution of material technology, inflatable outdoor equipment is becoming more practical for short- and long-term overland travel applications. The POD-01 by EXØD represents a novel approach to portable outdoor living, blending advanced kite-surfing technology with the practical needs of a temporary shelter. Designed for up to four occupants, the POD-01 weighs a mere 19 pounds, making it exceptionally lightweight for its size and purpose. Its setup is quick, taking approximately five minutes to either pitch or dismantle, which is facilitated by its inflatable skeleton. This structure not only contributes to the ease of assembly but also ensures robustness and durability under various weather conditions.

One of the standout features of the POD-01 is its interior space, which is both ample and thoughtfully designed to provide comfort and functionality. The capsule’s walls can be lifted to create panoramic views of the surroundings, enhancing the outdoor experience while maintaining a sense of shelter and security. The interior is equipped with various storage solutions, making it convenient for users to keep their belongings organized and within reach.

Durability is a core aspect of the POD-01’s design. It is constructed with materials that offer high resistance to water and wind, ensuring that it can withstand extreme weather conditions. The POD-01 airframe is made from high-tenacity Dacron and TPU 80 microns. The walls are composed of 70 Denier polyester ripstop with a PU membrane rated at 1,200mm, while the screen is made from 100% polyester mesh. The floor sheet is crafted from 420 Denier nylon with a PU membrane of 3,000mm, providing robust protection against the elements. This makes it an ideal choice for adventurers who require a reliable and resilient shelter during their outdoor activities.

The POD-01 includes a hand pump, guy lines, and pegs, a carry bag, and a repair kit. The shelter features seam-taped waterproofing and double-screen doors. It utilizes single-point inflation for easy setup and has a rigid airframe that supports a self-standing design. The shelter is built with resistant materials that offer high wind resistance. The design includes two tunnel doors facilitating efficient cooling and a reinforced roof for added durability.

The POD-01 is available in two color options. The pricing for this innovative shelter is $1,820, with discounts available for pre-orders, making it a competitive option in the market for high-end portable shelters.
