At Expedition Portal, we could not be more excited for The Big Thing overland event coming to Bozeman, Montana, at the XOVERLAND Ranch. Now that Expedition Portal is part of the Overland Collective, you will find all of us in one place, including the team from Overland Journal, XOVERLAND, ExPo, the Overland Journal Podcast, and more. This event focuses on training and community, and we believe that is exactly what overland travelers need. We look forward to seeing you from July 10 to 13 for a weekend of adventure.

Kick off the weekend with a relaxed meetup on Thursday night, right before the campfire fun begins. It’s your chance to unwind, meet other adventurers, and start building connections with like-minded people.

This is where you gain the knowledge and confidence you need for your next big adventure. From recovery techniques and navigation skills to cooking on the trail and setting up power systems, our expert-led classes cover a wide range of essential overlanding topics. Ready to test your skills? Join one of our guided 4WD trail drives, with routes suitable for all levels—from easygoing to more technical. We also have a dedicated test track for hands-on practice, where you can refine your driving technique and push your limits in a safe environment.
