Southern Africa’s Toughest Trail in a Stock Discovery

via West County Explorers Club: South African off-roader, Andrew St. Pierre White, takes a stock Land Rover Discovery on what he states is Southern Africa’s most difficult road, Baboons Pass in Lesotho. He does the trip with friends in two well-prepared Defender 110s. By the looks of it, it’s not for the faint of heart. Will his stock Discovery make it through without a scratch?

About the Author

By night he blogs about his twin passions, vehicles and adventure travel, on both the site he founded, West County Explorers Club, as well as on Expedition Portal. He’s based in western Sonoma County, California, where he lives with his amazing girlfriend, Natalie. Together, and with friends, they explore the west in Nik’s modified Mitsubishi Montero. This summer they will live and work from a sailboat while exploring the Pacific Northwest’s Salish Sea.
