Rossmönster recently launched the Rossmönster Baja Plus, a vehicle we had the pleasure of seeing in the flesh at the recent Overland Expo West event. As the largest and most luxurious model in the Rossmönster Baja Truck Camper Series, the Baja Plus is claimed to redefine standards for off-grid and off-road exploration. This launch is part of a strategic partnership with Van City RV, expanding the availability of the Baja Series across the United States.
Rossmönster, based in Longmont, Colorado, has built its reputation on creating high-quality, innovative RVs.
The Baja Plus is built on a Ford F-350 Super Duty, giving it class-leading power, towing, and carrying capacities. The Rossmönster Baja Plus is designed with an emphasis on both rugged functionality and sophisticated comfort. The exterior of the Baja Plus immediately catches the eye with its robust and aggressive stance. Based on a durable platform, it features a reinforced steel frame with high-clearance suspension and all-terrain tires that enhance its stability and performance. The sleek, matte finish is aesthetically pleasing and practical, offering resistance against scratches and the elements. LED lighting systems, including roof-mounted light bars and rear floodlights, ensure visibility and safety during nighttime adventures.
The interior of the Rossmonster Baja Plus is where comfort meets practicality. The spacious cabin is thoughtfully designed to maximize both living and storage space. High-quality materials are used throughout, with durable yet comfortable seating upholstered in premium fabrics. The interior layout includes a well-equipped kitchenette featuring a two-burner stove, a stainless steel sink, and a refrigerator. Custom cabinetry offers storage for kitchen essentials and personal items, ensuring everything remains organized and within reach.
Sleeping accommodations in the Baja Plus are designed for comfort. The main sleeping area includes a queen-sized bed with a memory foam mattress. Additional sleeping arrangements can be configured to suit various needs. The addition of the eye-catching roof-top tent allows sleeping for up to six people. The vehicle also boasts a fully integrated heating and cooling system, maintaining a comfortable interior climate regardless of external conditions.
The Baja Plus features a compact but efficient bathroom with a cassette toilet and an outdoor shower, offering the essentials for maintaining hygiene on the road. The water system includes an ample freshwater tank and a gray water tank, both designed to support extended off-grid living.
In terms of technology, the Baja Plus is outfitted with modern conveniences. A state-of-the-art solar power system provides renewable energy, powering the vehicle’s appliances and lighting without the need for external hookups. An advanced control panel allows users to monitor and manage the vehicle’s electrical systems with ease.
Rossmönster’s Baja Series includes three distinct editions: the EX (expedition), LX (luxury), and Plus (the largest model). Each edition features Rossmönster’s proprietary hard-walled truck camper with an actuating topper. This design allows the campers to be compact and streamlined while driving, spacious, and comfortable when camping with the top lifted.
The launch of the Baja Plus is complemented by Rossmönster’s partnership with Van City RV, one of the premier RV dealerships in the nation. Van City RV’s extensive network of dealerships will ensure that customers across the country can access Rossmönster’s Baja Truck Camper Series. This partnership not only expands the accessibility of the Baja Series but also introduces Rossmönster’s innovative designs to a broader audience of outdoor enthusiasts.
Luke Farny, CEO of Rossmönster, expressed his excitement about the partnership, stating,
“We are thrilled to partner with Van City RV to bring our Rossmönster Baja Truck Camper Series to customers nationwide. Van City RV shares our commitment to providing exceptional quality and customer service, making them the ideal partner for this collaboration. Together, we look forward to empowering adventurers to embark on unforgettable journeys with our innovative truck campers.”
Phil Rizzio, owner of Van City RV, echoed this sentiment, saying,
“We are always looking for ways to enhance the RV experience for our customers, and partnering with Rossmönster allows us to do just that. The Rossmönster Baja Truck Camper Series perfectly complements our existing lineup of high-quality recreational vehicles, and we are confident that our customers will be impressed by the craftsmanship and versatility of these campers.”
Naturally, a vehicle of this type is not aimed at the budget-conscious overlander; you could expect to pay at least $448,000 for your own Rossmonster Baja Plus.
