RLD Designs Releases Stainless Steel Canopy For Gladiator

Back in May, we named the RLD Designs truck canopy as one of the coolest products you might have missed at Overland Expo, and for good reason. These beefy caps are made in South Africa entirely from stainless steel, pack some seriously cool camp features, and carry a 700-pound dynamic load rating while weighing as little as 160 pounds. Now Gladiator owners can get in on the action as well, as RLD has announced that they are taking preorders for a shell designed just for the popular Jeep truck.

Like RLD’s other products, the Gladiator will have a range of options from camp kitchens and side doors to drop-down table storage. It also packs standard features like a roof vent, which creates positive pressure in the shell to prevent dust incursion, and side access hatches bent specifically to create enough rigidity to open or close them one-handed at any corner. The shell itself is 5-axis press bent and TIG welded, before being sealed in an industrial-grade, 180-micron powder coat finish in your color of choice.

Pricing starts at $3,199, and standard colors are in stock now in the US. Customers ordering other colors, such as when matching their vehicles, can expect a 60-day lead time.
