The Colorado is a fantastic truck for overlanding, especially if you opt for the ZR2 or Bison edition. It’s a popular option on our forum with recent adventure-ready examples including this 2017 ZR2 w/ Alu-Cab Canopy Camper, a 2020 ZR2 Bison diesel, and a 2020 Bison w/ Super Pacific Camper. There are two engines available for the Colorado: a 3.6-liter V6 petrol and a 2.8-liter Duramax diesel, but the latter is my personal favorite. I’ve read countless owner testimonials that claim the diesel motor achieves more than 30 mpg on the highway, which is really impressive. The good news doesn’t stop there as the ZR2 is also exceptional when the tarmac ends as demonstrated by Scott Brady on the Expedition Portal Youtube channel. Today’s low-mileage (53,000 miles) Colorado features premium modifications and is topped with a desirable Vagabond Drifter camper. Additionally, it’s sold with a bumper-to-bumper platinum extended warranty through 2024, which is transferable to the new owner.
From the Seller:
“This truck has been through terrain in nearly all of the lower 48 states and has never missed a day of travel or trails due to any sort of breakdown or hiccup. After every trip, I made adjustments, added gear, deleted unneeded equipment, etc. to get it to the absolutely dialed-in point it is today. This truck is extremely well thought out and incredibly functional. Everything on the truck serves a valuable purpose and there is little that is not both tactical and practical. With that being said this truck is truly a turnkey rig and is ready for an extended trip with its new owner with absolutely nothing needed.”
