Overland Classifieds :: 2007 Isuzu NPR-HD 4×4

The Isuzu NPR 4×4 is considered one of the best platforms for building a round-the-world expedition vehicle. In fact, Graeme Bell recently shared the news that EarthCruiser will be transitioning to the Isuzu NPR Series platform. Needless to say, it’s an exceptionally dependable and capable rig that’s the perfect base for a full-time rolling home (as discussed in my interview with Trucking Oz). The NPR 4×4 seldom comes up for sale on our forum, but we have previously featured this 2015 Expedition Camper and an epic crew cab custom overland build. The generous payload ensures you can outfit the NPR with a fully-equipped four-season habitation box or camper, as demonstrated by this build from Zocama. However, prices for the expedition-ready NPRs can be eye-watering, with this used 2019 overland build listed for $450,000 and EarthCruisers starting from $500,000. Hence, today’s 2007 expedition rig, built by RidgeRock Expedition Vehicles, represents excellent value at $125,000.

From the Seller:

The original RidgeRock Expedition vehicle. I’ve enjoyed this rig for three years and have been living in it full-time for six months. I’m now ready to build up another one and let this one go to a proud new owner.”

2007 Isuzu NPR-HD 4×4

The NPR is fitted with a 6.0-liter motor that produces 297 horsepower and 372 pound-feet of torque. A dependable engine is mated with impressive all-terrain capability thanks to 4WD, manual locking hubs, limited slip differentials, and high and low range. The Isuzu is designed to be a hardworking commercial vehicle. It showcases an impressive 6,782- to 6,978-pound max payload and a 1,653-/7,716- pound (unbraked/braked) towing capacity, which makes it a great platform for an overland build. Inside, the interior is decidedly utilitarian but does include the following driver comforts:

  • Power steering, windows, and locks
  • Hexapod-built cab design (improves safety and visibility)
  • Cup holders
  • Air conditioning
  • Cruise control

Distinguishing Features

  • Freshwater, 56 gallons
  • Diesel and electric heater, Cubic Grizzly wood stove, and propane water heater
  • MaxxAir Fan Deluxe
  • Dometic Masterflush with macerator and bidet

This 2007 Isuzu NPR-HD 4×4 is listed for $125,000 and is currently located in Telluride, Colorado. Check the full vehicle specifications via the original Expedition Portal forum post here.
