We often encourage overland travelers to travel with a purpose, and what better purpose could there be than to turn to adventure to explore the great outdoors? The famed Snowbasin Resort in Huntsville, Utah, is set to be the stunning alpine location for Overland Expo’s cousin event, namely, the Outdoor Adventure X festival.
This festival promises an eventful and informative weekend for outdoor enthusiasts from all walks of life, uniting campers, hikers, runners, cyclists, climbers, and paddling aficionados in a shared celebration of adventure and the outdoors.
Outdoor Adventure X, or OAX, is not a run-of-the-mill event but is instead a distinctive, festival-style experience. Attendees will not only have the opportunity to learn about the latest gear, including cutting-edge e-bikes and camping equipment but also test them firsthand.
OAX embodies a philosophy.
“We believe the knowledge you bring to the outdoors is as important as the gear you carry,”
said the event organizers.
To this end, they’ve curated a program of presentations, demos, and discussions featuring some of the most inspiring adventurers and knowledgeable experts in various fields. Attendees will also be able to explore outdoor ethics and the principles of responsible adventuring.
Camping is at the heart of OAX. The organizers offer comprehensive camping packages, which include an OAX weekend pass and three nights of camping. And for those less seasoned in the art of outdoor living or seeking a bit more luxury, glamping options are also available.
The festival is not all about daylight activities, however. Once the sun sets, the fun continues at the Volkswagen Base Camp Bar + Food Court. A complimentary drink at nightly happy hours, live music, and a raffle benefiting local non-profits will keep spirits high.
Daily or weekend OAX ticket holders will gain access to gear vendors, product demos, outdoor recreation clinics, and workshops. They can also enjoy craft beers, live music, unlimited access to the Snowbasin gondola, mini golf, and 26 miles of trails.
