Hotomobil Campers Now Available in the USA

San Juan Vans, a vehicle outfitter based in Bayfield, Colorado, has recently expanded its product offerings by becoming the US dealership for Hotomobil, the truck campers manufactured in Turkey with offices in Germany. This partnership marks a significant milestone for both companies, each aiming to capitalize on the growing trend of adventure travel and outdoor exploration in the United States.

Hotomobil, known for its innovative and compact truck campers, has been seeking to penetrate the US market, a move seen as crucial given the increasing demand for versatile and rugged camping solutions. The company’s models are designed to offer a blend of comfort and functionality, making them suitable for both weekend adventurers and hardcore explorers.

The San Juan dealership currently has two models of Hotomobil truck campers in its inventory. These models are designed to fit a variety of truck sizes and are equipped with features that promote off-grid capabilities, such as solar power systems, robust insulation, and water purification systems. Such features are tailored to meet the demands of travelers who venture into remote areas where traditional camping vehicles might not perform as well.

These campers are crafted from monoblock fiberglass, ensuring durability and a leakproof experience. They are insulated with polyurethane to maintain internal temperature, making them suitable for all seasons. Each camper, regardless of size, is equipped with a range of standard features. The exterior can be finished with either a bedliner or a gel coat. Heating is provided by an Eberspacher diesel heater, and there is also a diesel-powered water heating system. The bathroom facilities include a cassette toilet, a sink, a shower, and a specially designed floor. For energy needs, there is a 205-watt MPPT 20-amp solar energy system and a 150 amp-hour lithium service battery, complemented by a 1,000-watt inverter. Sleeping arrangements feature a queen-sized bed measuring 78.75 by 67 inches. Additional amenities include an outdoor shower enclosure, an awning, and interior and exterior lighting.

The kitchen is equipped with a two-burner stove that includes a sink combination, along with covers for both the stove and sink. The refrigerator-size varies depending on the model, with details provided in the specifications table. The camper also includes four jacks for stability and an adventure pack, which contains two sand palettes, an axe, and a shovel. Available color options for the campers include white, blue, or yellow for the gel coat with vinyl graphics and bedliner finishes in black, white, green, or sand.

The Hotomobil Gladiator is available in three sizes: SB, STD, and LB, priced at $43,000, $48,000, and $52,000, respectively, tailored to fit mid, and full-sized trucks. Orders for the Gladiator can be placed through the Hotomobil website, with production and delivery timelines extending up to six months. If you are strolling around the camping area at Overland Expo West, to be held in May in Flagstaff, AZ, you may stumble across the Hotomobil, it will be there.
