1995 Toyota Land Cruiser FZJ80 :: Featured Classified

80 Series Land Cruiser

The Land Cruiser, in any iteration, is considered a pinnacle overland platform and is the vehicle of choice for frontline agencies, NGOs, and military operations in some of the world’s harshest environments. It’s a 4WD synonymous with exceptional longevity, uncompromising build quality, bulletproof reliability, and can endure daily punishment in a way that most civilian vehicles cannot. For many, the 80 Series represents the best of the breed, with automotive expert Matt Scott stating, “The Land Cruiser 80 was intentionally overbuilt, with thicker sheet metal than I’ve ever seen on another car, and a massively overbuilt, near-commercial drivetrain. In an age where off-road vehicles commonly saw massive drivetrain failures when pushed to their limit, the 80 Series is still strong by today’s standards.” With this in mind, cue today’s 1995 Toyota Land Cruiser FZJ80 (283,000 miles on chassis/100,000 miles on rebuilt engine from Camelback Toyota), which enjoyed a transmission rebuild at 170,000 miles and boasts premium modifications, a fully equipped camper conversion, and a Campteq pop-top roof. It’s also worth noting that the cab interior has been overhauled with a plethora of OEM replacement parts and aftermarket upgrades (full details here). At $42,500, this turnkey overland package represents impressive value with more than $70,000 invested in the build, and has been overland proven on the infamous Pan-American Highway. So, if you’re in the market for a pinnacle rig for domestic and international travel, look no further.

80 Series Land CruiserFrom the Seller:

Meet ‘Goose,’ the 1995 Toyota Land Cruiser 80 Series that has conquered the Pan-American Highway, piloted and well documented by @salty_sunrise_ on both Instagram and YouTube. Starting life as a factory triple-locked example out of Arizona, it became the adventure-telling rig you see today. No rust, no accidents, all original moonglow pearl paint, and some panels holding more stories than others. Outfitted with an abundance of Campteq goodies, fully equipped throughout, and sporting a build sheet exceeding $70,000. I planned to take Goose on its second tour of the Pan-American Highway, but some life changes have shifted those plans, and it deserves to be used more than just a daily driver. Throughout my ownership, I have added the raising sleeping platform, premium audio system, refined the creature comforts, tied up its loose ends, and given it a general refresh inside and out. I’m looking for someone who appreciates its history and continues to add to its story. I have the original fender flares, a new synthetic winch line, factory Toyota repair manuals, an original driver’s airbag with clock-spring, two OEM keys, lots of extras, and some spare parts that will be included. Clean title in hand.”
