Toyota Land Cruiser 80 Series

Back in 2020 Matt Scott wrote an article on Why The Land Cruiser 80 Series Is The Next Classic 4WD stating that “the 80 Series has plenty of character compared to a modern car, but it doesn’t have vintage car inconveniences.” In short, it carries forward the fabled reliability and capability of past iterations while introducing welcomed refinement. Subsequently, it’s a popular choice on our forum with recent adventure-ready examples including this 1993 VX Limited, a 1994 FZJ80, and a 1995 with a Campteq conversion. In addition, it’s frequently the choice for international travel as documented through the adventures of Destined for Wild, Dirt Sunrise, and the Long Way Home. Today’s 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ80 has to be one of the cleanest we’ve showcased and has covered just 140,000 miles from new.

From the Seller:

This is Blueberry, my first car, and I’ve been attached to it ever since. So many adventures we’ve been on around town and off the beaten path. I’ve grown to love the driving experience and being part of the landcruiser community. I wish I could hold on to Blueberry, but I don’t have the money currently to do a motor swap, and I’m in need of something faster. There’s something about this rig that just feels different when I drive it, it feels like it has a spirit, probably because of all the memories I have made while owning it. Whether I was sad, happy, nervous, disappointed, Blueberry was always there for me to make my day a little more exciting.
