There are numerous reasons to upgrade your suspension, including managing increased load, achieving additional ground clearance, and improving ride/handling/control. As we add additional lift, it often affects alignment, including reaching the limits of factory alignment ranges. This is where the new ARB upper control arms (UCAs) come in.
Unfortunately, most aftermarket upper control arms do more harm than good, stressing CV axles with too much droop, or introducing noise, rattles, and service issues due to the short service life of heim joints. ARB has addressed all of those downsides by designing their new UCAs to operate within factory limits, fitting them with GIIRO maintenance-free bushings and heavy-duty greasable ball joints.
To further improve durability, the ball joint housing and eyelets are forged, and the ball joint includes a protective cap to reduce water and dust ingress. The UCAs are also powdercoated in their Integrit finish for long life.
Most importantly, the UCAs provide additional camber and caster adjustment once the vehicle is lifted. This allows for between +2.5 and +3.5 degrees of caster and up to 1.5 degrees of negative camber. They are available for the 2007-2020 200 series Land Cruiser, 2010-2020 4Runner, and the 2005-2020 Toyota Tacoma.
