Mohab to Sponsor Overland Expo SoCal 2026 Ahead of Spring Launch

A relatively new overland adventure gear and mobile habitat company, Mohab (formerly imCamper), has announced it will sponsor Overland Expo SoCal 2026, scheduled to take place on March 14-15, 2026, at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, California. The sponsorship comes ahead of the company’s planned North American launch later in the spring and will provide the brand with its first major public platform within the overlanding community.

Mohab will play a visible role at the Overland Expo SoCal event as the sponsor of the Backcountry and Culinary Pavilion, an area designed to highlight camp cooking techniques and practical wilderness skills. The pavilion offers ticketed guests an opportunity to refine their camp kitchen setup and learn methods that can make extended trips more efficient and enjoyable. During the two-day event, Mohab will display two vehicles equipped with its upcoming Provis kitchen system and other products from its expanding line of mobile habitat gear.

Overland Expo SoCal has become one of the region’s largest gatherings focused on vehicle-based adventure travel and outdoor exploration. The event brings together industry leaders, equipment manufacturers, and enthusiasts, offering access to more than 400 exhibitors and approximately 100 hours of educational programming. Presentations, demonstrations, and hands-on sessions led by instructors and presenters from around the world cover a broad range of topics related to overlanding, outdoor skills, and expedition travel.

General Manager of Mohab Patrick Dougherty said,

“We are thrilled to partner with Overland Expo SoCal’s event series to preview our new line of overlanding accessories. Beginning spring, 2026, the millions of Americans that self-identify as ‘overlanders’ will have the opportunity to experience our state-of-the-art manufacturing technology and innovative product line-up.”

Two products expected to attract attention are the Mohab Provis Grill and Provis Table, both of which will be demonstrated in the Backcountry and Culinary Pavilion. The Provis grill is a compact, integrated cooking system designed for extended travel and remote campsites. The unit folds into a Pullman-style suitcase for convenient storage and transport in a vehicle. When deployed, it provides a preparation surface, cooking platform, and cleanup area. The system features a lightweight aluminum frame with telescoping leveling legs to accommodate uneven terrain. Cooking options include a butane or propane quick-light burner, while an additional wood or charcoal grill can double as a rinse station where open flames are permitted. The Provis table complements the grill as a portable utility workstation. Built with a lightweight aluminum frame, it includes adjustable leveling legs and slide-out storage drawers and can function independently or alongside the Provis grill to expand a campsite’s working space.

The company will also display its flagship rooftop cabin systems, known as the Altus and Altus XL. These hard-shell, hard-wall rooftop structures are designed to provide rapid deployment and weather protection for vehicle-based travelers. The units incorporate a push-button electric opening and closing system that allows the structure to deploy in less than a minute. Mohab states that the design uses all-season materials intended to keep occupants warm and dry while maintaining a lightweight structural frame.

In addition to these products, Mohab’s broader lineup includes a range of vehicle accessories and expedition equipment. These include Fortis roof racks, bed racks, and bed canopies; Grada side steps and bed steps; Ordo SUV storage systems and canopy slides; Obex tonneau covers and cargo slides; Solara light bars; Rivo water tanks and shower systems; and the Tectra 270-degree awning equipped with insect-repelling LED lighting.

According to the company, its initial product compatibility will focus on several popular adventure vehicles. SUV fitments at launch will include the Jeep Wrangler, Ford Bronco, and Toyota Land Cruiser, with additional compatibility for the Land Rover Defender, Toyota 4Runner, and Mercedes-Benz G-Class planned for the future. Truck systems will initially support the Jeep Gladiator, Ford F-150, and Toyota Tacoma, with Ford Ranger, GMC Sierra, Chevrolet Silverado, Toyota Tundra, and Ram trucks expected to follow.

Calvin Wang, product lead for Mohab, said the company hopes to introduce a different design perspective to the expanding overland equipment market.

“Our team looks forward to bringing a fresh perspective to the thriving outdoor and adventure gear industry. Following Overland Expo SoCal, adventurers can experience Mohab again as the media lunch sponsor at Overland Expo West in Flagstaff, Arizona, and throughout the year at upcoming events in Oregon, Colorado, Montana, Las Vegas, and Virginia.”

Yay, lunch!
