1991 Mitsubishi Montero :: Classifieds

Mitsubishi Montero

The Montero remains an underappreciated platform for overlanding with recent wallet-friendly offerings, including this 1994, 2001, and 2006. It’s surprising that this iconic Mitsubishi 4WD is oftentimes a fraction of the cost of a same-year Land Cruiser, despite providing many of the same desirable attributes. That said, there’s no shortage of enviable adventure-equipped builds online from the likes of Montana Montero, Rich Robb, and Agency 6. Cue today’s $11,900 1991 Mitsubishi Montero (194,200 miles), which boasts a plethora of tasteful upgrades, recent maintenance (documented in the original listing), and could be enjoyed as is or serve as a blank canvas for a full overland build-out. If you’re in the market for an affordable classic Japanese 4WD with heaps of charm and desirable upgrades, then this is a worthy contender.

Montero From the Seller:

Owned since 2022 and driven 15,000 miles during ownership. I daily drive my various old rigs, and rotate various rigs. You really find out the good and bad when you drive them 10,000 or so miles per year. Overall, a very solid truck. The previous owner did the paint job. Sand color is a Jeep Gobi color chip. Decent, but not great. Lots of other parts, including various trim, door seals, window seals, grill, bumper, and a whole bunch more. No rust issues. If you’re a serious buyer, we can do a FaceTime-type call, and I can walk you through everything.”
