Well, it’s finally that time of year again. The time when things warm up, the heavens part, and we make our way to the event of events. No I’m not talking about the Equipt Outfitters party, however epic it may be, I’m talking of course about Overland Expo! We’ve all been waiting months for this event, and as we finally prepare for the weekend’s activities we want to give you a quick look at who’s turned up for this year’s show. It’s quite a gathering, from the ever growing list of vendors, to the throngs of enthusiasts flooding the grounds, we have no doubt that this will be one of the most interesting and exciting Expos in history. Don’t just take our word for it though, check out some of the pictures we snapped below for an idea of what we’ve seen so far. Don’t forget to come back for daily updates of the event and information on new vehicles and products.
Even the day before the event, tons of people showed up excited for the weekend ahead.
While we all can’t afford these monstrous campers, they sure are fun to look at.
There were plenty of awesome Jeeps today, but here are a few that particularly struck our interest. First an absolute classic from the Chrysler museum. A beautifully restored World War II era CJ. Check it out at Overland Journal’s booth
American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) brought some fantastic trucks as always, including one of their beautiful Brute Double Cabs
From Chrysler’s personal stock, we were lucky enough to see a Classic Willy’s Wagon and the Mighty FC, one of the coolest Jeeps on the road.
They also brought one of their new Cherokees, a car that we’ve been quite impressed with despite a few not so great initial thoughts on the concept.
We spotted the next three JK’s hanging out in the camp grounds. The third one has quite the trailer behind it!
Now that we’ve thrown a bucket of Jeeps at you, here’s a few other vehicles we loved. This is one of my personal favorites, Graham Jackson’s diesel Range Rover Classic
There are plenty of FJ Cruisers attending this year’s Expo, even an Xplore FJ showed up.
Proving you don’t need a big vehicle for big adventure
I’m personally not overly fond of Ford Raptors, but this one has certainly grabbed my attention
Our Range Rover Sport Project is set up at IronClad’s booth this year. We’re told that there will be some great product giveaways if you stop by. Worth checking it out!
Pronghorn Overland was back and better than ever this year. We even hear rumors of a new product release being displayed. We’ll keep you updated!
You never know what you’ll see at this event, we spotted this vintage Indian hiding in the back camp grounds.
Of course all of this is only possible through the hard work of people setting up the event and the support of those attending. Here’s just a few of them.
