VAHNA, a lushly illustrated and beautifully written print magazine that features motorcycle stories from all over the globe, has announced that submissions are open for the 2023 VAHNA Motorcycle Film Festival and competition presented by Triumph Motorcycles. The festival tour “[celebrates] the art of motorcycle cinematography [and] offers filmmakers a platform to showcase their unique storytelling abilities and creative vision to the world.”
Open to anyone “who is passionate about motorcycles and has a talent for capturing the essence of riding on film,” the VAHNA team will select ten films to go on tour around the country later this year, including dates in Atlanta, Austin, Denver, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and Portland, Oregon. At each venue, a local panel of guest judges will choose the best three films from that screening. The top three overall winners will earn a range of prizes, and the number one film will win a 2023 Triumph Bonneville T120 Black for its creator. Not local to one of those cities? VAHNA will also be streaming the ten selected films on its website for anyone to watch and enjoy.
Filmmakers can upload a link to their creations via VAHNA’s website, and films should be between 5-15 minutes long and not include any copyrighted footage or music. The deadline for submission to the 2023 VAHNA Motorcycle Film Festival is September 30, 2023.
