Prepare yourselves bikers, Overland Expo has unveiled its highly anticipated Ultimate Overland Motorcycle 2023 at Overland Expo West, and it is a drool-worthy machine fully prepared for an RTW adventure. Based on the Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Pro, the custom-built motorcycle was built to represent the pinnacle of overland adventure and incorporates components from top brands.
The Ultimate Overland Motorcycle 2023 is the result of a collaboration between Overland Expo and notable exhibitors, including Bridgestone, Denali Electronics, Helinox, Mosko Moto, Optima, Outback Motortek, Ram, Redverz, with graphics by Taco Moto. By leveraging the expertise and high-quality products from these trusted partners, Overland Expo has crafted a machine that embodies their specific vision of the ultimate overland motorcycle.
Eva Rupert, the Motorcycle Community Director at Overland Expo, drove the development of the project:
“For our third Ultimate Build, we decided to go with the fully redesigned Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Pro. Utilizing the latest in adventure motorcycle gear and components, we created an adventure motorcycle designed to tackle off-road challenges and comfortably cruise the highway easily. We built this incredible Tiger 1200 to inspire overlanders to get geared up and out on their own motorcycle adventures.”
The Triumph Tiger 1200 Rally Pro serves as the ideal foundation for the Ultimate Overland Motorcycle due to its exceptional off-road capability and long-haul comfort. Triumph Motorcycles America’s Marketing Director Adam VanderVeen commented on the selection, saying,
“The baseline for modern big-bore adventure bikes like the Tiger 1200 is already incredible, but our owners still love to find their own ways to make their bikes even more epic. All of us at Triumph were very proud for the new Tiger 1200 Rally Pro to be selected as this year’s Ultimate Motorcycle Build, which will help inspire adventure bike owners for how far they can customize their bikes and create their own perfect adventure platform.”
So, what makes this bike stand out? The Ultimate Overland Motorcycle features a range of top-tier components from its official partners. Bridgestone provides the Battlax Adventure Cross AX41 tires, specifically designed for 40 percent on-road and 60 percent off-road adventures. Denali Electronics equips the motorcycle with D7 and D2 Light Pods, T3 Modular Switchback Signal Pods, and a Soundbomb Mini Horn, all controlled by the CanSmart Controller Gen II. Outback Motortek contributed crash bars and a skid plate to protect the Tiger 1200 from the rigors of off-road exploration. Ram Mounts securely hold riders’ cellphones, and Doubletake Mirrors ensure optimal visibility. Mosko Moto supplies the Backcountry Panniers and a Backcountry Duffel for carrying essential gear, while Redverz provides the Atacama Expedition Motorcycle Tent for comfortable camping during long-distance trips.
The Ultimate Overland Motorcycle 2023 made its first public appearance at Overland Expo West in Flagstaff, Arizona, on May 19, 2023. Following the debut, the motorcycle will be showcased at two additional Overland Expo events, including Pacific Northwest in Redmond, Oregon, and Mountain West in Loveland, Colorado. Furthermore, it will be displayed at the Outdoor Adventure X show in Huntsville, Utah, from June 17-18.
Throughout the year, the Ultimate Overland Motorcycle will embark on thrilling journeys along some of the most iconic trails in the United States, ridden by Overland Expo staff, brand partners, and members of the media. At the conclusion of the show season, the Triumph will be auctioned off on Bring a Trailer, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the Overland Expo Foundation, a charitable organization supporting worthy causes in the overland community.
