Overland Classifieds :: 2022 Toyota Tundra CrewMax Limited TRD Off-Road

The Tundra is a popular overland platform and the truck of choice for many travelers who seek bulletproof reliability above all else. Traditionally the Tundra has not been the most powerful, well-equipped, or economical full-size option on the market, but it has proven to be one of the most dependable. We’ve featured a number of adventure-ready examples, including this 2012 Rock Warrior Crew Max, a 2017 TRD Pro, and a 2021 TRD Off-Road. However, it’s clear that with the latest 2022 variant, Toyota is looking to address the truck’s shortcomings with more power, significantly improved economy, uprated capability (including the addition of a locking rear differential), and a better-equipped interior. Today’s example showcases the desirable TRD Off-Road and Limited Premium packages, aftermarket modifications, and is topped with a Roofnest Falcon Pro rooftop tent. It’s worth noting the new Tundra is an exceptionally hot commodity at the moment, with demand outstripping supply, and that makes today’s listing a rare opportunity to get hold of a basically new TRD Off-Road.

From the Seller

“A 2022 Tundra CrewMax with the rare 6.5 bed; it’s covered just 950 miles (but I still drive it occasionally), so the mileage could go up slightly. 4×4 Limited with the Trd Off-Road package in army green. The truck is like brand new, and the options make the package way better than new. Why buy a Pro when you can save on taxes and get this rig outfitted to the max for the same money?”

2022 Toyota Tundra CrewMax Limited TRD Off-Road

The Tundra is fitted with a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 motor that produces 389 horsepower, 479 pound-feet of torque, and returns a combined 20 mpg. The previous 5.7-liter V8 powerplant was highly regarded for its reliability, and it’s clear that some Toyota fans are unsure about the new V6 replacement. Time will tell if the new engine can live up to the longevity of its predecessor, but with increased power and significantly improved economy, I’m optimistic. The good news doesn’t end there. With uprated capability, thanks to the latest TRD Off-Road package, which incorporates 4WD, Bilstein monotube shocks, locking rear differential, skid plates, Multi-Terrain select, Crawl Control, Downhill Assist Control, and more, this Toyota will shine on difficult terrain. Inside, the Tundra’s cab is well-equipped with driver comforts that include:

  • Infotainment system with Apple Carplay, 14 inch
  • Heated and vented seats
  • Panoramic roof
  • JBL 12 speaker audio
  • Heated leather steering wheel

Distinguishing Features

  • CBI Covert front bumper
  • Westcott lift and Firestone airbags
  • OVS Nomadic awning
  • Roofnest Falcon Pro rooftop tent
  • Ecoflow Delta 1300 Power bank with Lensun 90-watt hood solar
  • Dometic CFX35 fridge

This 2022 Toyota Tundra CrewMax Limited TRD Off-Road is listed for $85,000 and is currently located in Tucson, Arizona. Check the full vehicle specifications via the original Expedition Portal forum post here.
