2005 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD w/ Four Wheel Campers Hawk :: Classified

Chevy Silverado 2500HD

The full-size Silverado is an ideal platform for overland builds thanks to its generous payload, 4WD capability, and powerful V8 motor. It’s a popular choice amongst the Expedition Portal community with previous adventure-equipped examples including this 2005 Tiger CX, a 2012 Z71 with a Hallmark Guanella LX camper, and 2015 with a Four Wheel Campers’ Hawk. The reality is that the moment you add a well-equipped camper to a mid-size truck you’re going to be at or exceeding the limit of the factory payload. With this in mind, full-size trucks such as the Silverado are the answer. Cue today’s 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD (153,xxx miles), which showcases a plethora of aftermarket upgrades and is topped with a Four Wheel Campers’ Hawk. At $35,000, this rig represents impressive value when you consider the truck, camper, and build specifications, and would make a fantastic budget-friendly rolling home. FWC Hawk

From the Seller:

The camper is bolted down to a custom-made 8.5-foot Alumbody flatbed and is surrounded by custom tool boxes made by RC Industries. It has the bulletproof 6.0-liter Vortec V8 (pre-cylinder deactivation) with the 4L80E 4-speed automatic transmission. The engine purrs and has zero leaks, and the transmission shifts excellently. I maintained this truck rigorously (over $6,200 spent on repairs) and made many upgrades to both the truck and camper for reliability, comfort, and convenience.
