2002 Ford F-250 Super Duty 4×4 w/ Bowens Customs flatbed and 2023 Aterra XL Flatbed Truck Camper :: Classifieds

Ford F-250

Today’s build is the perfect confluence of old and new. A low-mileage 2002 Ford F-250 4×4 (97,393 miles) with the legendary 7.3-liter Power Stroke diesel is matched with a premium Bowen Customs flatbed and topped with an exceptionally well-equipped 2023 Aterra XL camper. It provides proven mechanical longevity alongside modern-day interior refinement, technology, and comfort. The F-250 is a firm favorite with the overlanding community with recent features including this 2000, 2000 with a Scout Kenai, and 2012 with a Hallmark camper. It was also the platform of choice for Jon Burtt and Expedition Portal contributor and owner of Basil’s Garage, Basil Lynch, who lived full-time in his legendary 2000 Ford F-250 camper “Bruce” for two years (detailed rig walkthrough on the Diesel Power Products YouTube).

From the Seller:

A heavy-duty 4WD overlanding rig made for long-distance off-road adventures. Keep it as-is with one of the most reliable trucks ever made, or put the camper on your own truck, make some cash selling this one, and hit the road. Hard to find 2023 AT Overland Aterra XL Flatbed Truck Camper (serial XLF23016) on a Colorado-made Bowen Customs Overland aluminum flatbed with a large storage garage behind the crew cab. The low-mileage pickup has less than 100,000 original miles on it. It was garaged before I bought it, and I have full maintenance receipts from regular work at Bodacious Diesel in Golden, Colorado, after I purchased it.”

Inside, the Ford balances these rugged features with driver comforts that include:

  • Aftermarket premium Kenwood head unit with backup camera
  • Power steering, windows, locks, and mirrors
  • Weathertech floor liners and windshield and window deflectors
  • Ceramic window tint
