Volkswagen Of America Announces Pricing For The 2025 ID. Buzz

Volkswagen of America has officially announced the pricing and EPA-estimated range for the 2025 ID. Buzz, an electric reimagining of the classic Microbus, set to arrive in American driveways later this year. The ID. Buzz brings a unique blend of retro design and modern functionality; its exterior design features an oversized VW logo, short overhangs, and a wide range of color options, allowing customers to personalize their vehicle.

The starting price for the ID. Buzz Pro S model is $59,995. For those seeking additional features, the Pro S Plus model starts at $63,495, while the launch-only 1st Edition model begins at $65,495. All ID. Buzz models come with an estimated range of 234 miles for rear-wheel-drive and 231 miles for 4Motion all-wheel-drive when fully charged.

The base Pro S model is a rear-wheel-drive vehicle designed to accommodate up to seven passengers with its second-row bench seat. It is available in three single-tone exterior colors—Candy White, Deep Black Pearl, and Metro Silver—and two interior options, Copper and Moonlight. Standard features for the Pro S include:

  • 20-inch aluminum-alloy wheels;
  • LED headlights;
  • A 12.9-inch infotainment display;
  • A 5.3-inch digital instrument cluster;
  • A variety of driver-assistance technologies.

The model also includes heated and ventilated front seats with massage functions, power-folding mirrors, and an auto-dimming interior mirror. Additional amenities include a nine-speaker audio system, wireless charging, and multiple USB-C ports.

The Pro S Plus trim, which starts at $63,495 for rear-wheel-drive and $67,995 for all-wheel-drive, builds on the Pro S with added premium features. This model includes a head-up display, a 700-watt Harman Kardon sound system with 14 speakers, and the Area View camera system for enhanced visibility around the vehicle. The Pro S Plus also offers an electrochromic panoramic smart glass roof, which can switch from transparent to opaque with a swipe. Customers can choose from several two-tone exterior paint options for an additional $995, further personalizing their ID. Buzz. Inside, the Pro S Plus provides a choice between bench seating or captain’s chairs, depending on the drivetrain selected.

The launch-only 1st Edition model starts at $65,495 for rear-wheel-drive and $69,995 for all-wheel-drive. This Special Edition includes all the features of the Pro S trim, along with unique 20-inch wheels, roof rail cross bars, and exclusive badging. The 1st Edition is only available with the Dune interior and has five standard two-tone exterior options. Additional features include:

  • Heritage-inspired floor mats;
  • An electrochromic panoramic glass roof;
  • Easy open/close sliding doors and tailgate.

The rear-wheel-drive version offers a rear bench, while the all-wheel-drive version includes captain’s chairs.
