Video of the Week: NORRA Mexican 1000

The NORRA Mexican 1000 that was held from the 29th of April to the 06th of May in the Baja Peninsula is considered to be “The Happiest Race on Earth”. The 5-day rally starts in Ensenada and finishes at San Jose Del Cabo with different stages crossing cacti-gardens in the desert, beach driving and treacherous mountain passes.

This video showcases the overall winners, Steve Menzies and his son, Bryce (six time Off-Road Champion and World Record holder) in their Mason Motorsports AWD T1 Truck. If you have ever considered traveling to Baja, this might be your motivator as the video showcases not only the rally but also the beautiful landscapes of Baja. Perhaps one day you will too be following along the course of the NORRA Mexican 1000.

Luisa Bell has always had a passion for travel, but she never imagined that she would travel the world, with her family, in a self-built Land Rover Defender camper. As the navigator, administrator, and penetrator of bureaucracy, she has led her family to over 65 countries on five continents. Luisa is the wife of Graeme, and their quarter-century together feels like a full century in overlander years. Her two kids and her dog are her pride and joy, and if she could travel with them indefinitely, she would. With a background in immigration law, she has the ability to make the impossible possible and has no plan of settling down or retiring her full-time traveler status.
