Video of the Week: 600-pound ATerra Tacoma Overland Camper

ATerra camper

A fully enclosed four-season sub-600-pound flatbed truck camper? Yes, it’s true, and it’s a first for the North American market. The ATerra camper was designed by Tern Overland and is being sold exclusively through AT Overland. After 25 months of development, the main engineer behind the project, David Soza, gives Scott the first glimpse of the finished product.

The whole build was completed on a 2019 Toy0ta Tacoma TRD extra cab chassis to take advantage of the enhanced payload and 6-foot-long bed. An upgraded suspension consisting of Icon Vehicle Dynamics and Fox components has been added and custom-tuned for the ATerra in addition to a fully custom set of leaf springs. Watch the video for a full breakdown of additional truck accessories as well as camper features.

More information about the ATerra XL Camper can be found on the AT Overland Equipment website.
