Touratech Releases New Expedition Skid Plates

For years Touratech has been the trusted source for engine protection with an extensive line of skid plates for all of the popular motorcycles on the market. They have recently elevated their own standard with the development of a new series of Expedition Skid Plates. Built to withstand the rigors of serious expedition riding, Touratech’s new skid plates feature ultra strong stainless steel sub-mounts, 4mm thick aluminum shell construction including corrugated channels for maximum strength, and replaceable polymide nylon sliders.

The Expedition Skid Plate offers complete coverage for the engine and features a low-profile design maximizing ground clearance, while the nylon sliders protect bolt heads, absorb impact forces, and provide a sliding surface for conquering obstacles. Expedition Skid Plates are available for BMW’s water-cooled R1200GS, the 2013 and newer F800GS, and KTM’s new 1190 Adventure and Adventure R set to release in 2014.
