Thule Tepui 2020 Rooftop Tents

Swedish travel accessory manufacturer Thule is well known for its luggage, roof racks, cargo boxes, bike carrying systems, and more recently, Tepui rooftop tents. Thule acquired Tepui in late 2018 and has upheld and further developed its line of rooftop tents with offerings that fit every type of vehicle out there, from cars to trucks and everything in between.

Thule and Tepui both prioritize well-engineered products, smart design, and high-quality materials. In 2020, the Thule Tepui rooftop tent line offers four unique models to fit the needs of every outdoor adventurer.

Thule Tepui Ruggedized Series

Their toughest rooftop tent, the Thule Tepui Ruggedized Series is designed for people who are rough on their gear and need a tent that can hold up on the trail. With capacity for three people, the Ruggedized Series has a diamond-plate base, 40 percent heavier fabric (than their standard models) with double stitching, an anti-condensation mat under the mattress, a 3/4-inch internal frame, extra-large internal pockets, gear anchor points, and bedding straps. The Ruggedized Series is perfect for trucks and off-road trailers.

Thule Tepui Low-Pro

Looking for a svelte rooftop tent that will fit on your sedan and won’t kill your gas mileage? The Thule Tepui Low-Pro “sets the bar for most aerodynamic and streamlined rooftop tents on the market.” The 100-percent, recyclable, thermoplastic base material is nearly indestructible and lightweight, making it a perfect tent choice for smaller vehicles. The Low-Pro is offered in two or three-person capacity with a domed canopy that offers all-season protection while maintaining breathability. The waterproof rainfly ensures that you stay dry when the precipitation starts.

Thule Tepui Hybox Wedge

Building on the incredible success of the Hybox, the Thule Tepui Hybox Wedge has been created for a faster and even easier setup and breakdown. The permanently-hinged leading edge of the tent makes setup simple and straightforward, even for a solo camper. The Hybox Wedge also pulls double-duty, converting to a cargo box in a snap. The Hybox Wedge has room for two campers and comes with reinforced insulation, a breathable canopy, and a built-in mattress.

Thule Tepui Explorer Series

Rounding out the Thule Tepui line of rooftop tents this 2020 season is the Explorers series which takes rooftop tents to the next level. The Explorer series includes a durable canopy that provides protection for year-round adventures. The all-around mesh paneling maintains ample ventilation and gives you views in all directions. With room for two-four people, a 2.5-inch high-density foam mattress, and large internal storage pockets, the Explorer Series will feel just like home. A “privacy annex” (available on select models) extends from the tent to the ground, providing a spacious retreat.
