The Australian Crossfire 4.7 is a Robust Off-Road Caravan for Adventurous Couples

The Crossfire 4.7 by On The Move Caravans is an off-road caravan engineered for couples seeking adventure without compromising on comfort. Constructed with a timberless body, this caravan is lightweight yet durable, featuring an automotive high-tensile steel chassis. Its independent wishbone suspension and 12-inch electric brakes provide superior handling on rough terrain.

The interior of the Crossfire 4.7 is designed for both comfort and practicality. It features a queen-sized memory foam mattress and leatherette upholstery, complemented by zero timber carcass furniture. Soft-close drawers and metal runners ensure smooth operation, while a thermostatic valve and instant hot water system offer convenience while on the go. The plumbing system includes a 200-liter freshwater tank and a 100-liter greywater tank, supporting extended off-grid stays.

The Crossfire 4.7’s robust electrical system features a Projecta Intelli Battery Management System, a 200 amp-hour lithium battery, and 200-watt solar panels. This setup ensures a reliable power supply even in remote locations. The caravan also includes various lighting options, such as outdoor and reading lights, enhancing both safety and convenience.

For culinary needs, the Crossfire 4.7 is equipped with a 105-liter fridge, a two-plate induction cooktop inside, and an outdoor kitchen featuring a three-burner gas stove and sink. This dual kitchen setup provides versatility in meal preparation. Additional features include a cassette toilet, a reverse camera for easier maneuvering, and Bluetooth speakers for entertainment.

The Crossfire 4.7 is built to handle challenging terrains, with off-road 265/75 R16 tires mounted on alloy rims, DO35 off-road coupling, and off-road stabilizer legs. The caravan’s exterior boasts a black high-strength body jacketing and stainless steel fixings, enhancing durability. Practical external features include a security screen door, automotive glazed glass windows, and an external pantry. The inclusion of an awning, a toolbox for gas bottles, and an entrance handle with light adds to its functionality.

It has to be said that the Crossfire 4.7 is one of the most stylish and attractive trailers on the market. At $50,000, it seems excellent value for money, considering what is available in this market segment. Unfortunately, it does not appear that there is currently an On The Move distributor in North America.
