The internet is buzzing with artist renderings and speculation as to what exactly we can expect from the new 4Runner, and given the excellent reputation of the 4Runner, we share that excitement. This evening, April 9th, Toyota will lift its 4Runner press release embargo and allow us to reveal the all-new 2025 Toyota 4Runner.
So far, Toyota has released only two official photos of the new 4Runner. The first image, a rear shot released April 4th, gives us a look into the interior through a retractable rear tailgate window, and we all noticed the larger touchscreen. We also have a glimpse at body styling that is giving us Lexus Overtrail and new Land Cruiser vibes. The 4Runner range is no doubt going to be packed with the overland DNA that has made Toyota the number-one choice for overland travel globally.
The 2025 4Runner is expected to feature a more refined yet rugged exterior design, keeping with its off-road heritage while incorporating sleek lines and modern accents for a contemporary appeal. Inside, buyers can look forward to an upgraded cabin with enhanced comfort, premium materials, and cutting-edge design elements that promise a blend of luxury and functionality.
The second photo, released on April 8th, gives us a look at the Trailhunter logo and lettering on sublime green paintwork. The Toyota Trailhunter was first teased as a concept at the 2022 SEMA show, drawing a lot of attention. The Trailhunter grade represents Toyota’s dedicated effort to cater to us, the overlanding community, offering a vehicle equipped with integrated off-road equipment tailored for outdoor adventure.
Technology enthusiasts will be pleased with the 2025 4Runner’s anticipated state-of-the-art infotainment system, enhanced connectivity, and intuitive controls. Under the hood, the new 4Runner may offer a range of powertrain options, including a more powerful and efficient engine lineup. There’s speculation around a hybrid model that would align with Toyota’s push towards electrification, offering better fuel efficiency without compromising on power and off-road capabilities. Additionally, advanced suspension systems and drivetrain technologies are expected to provide an unparalleled driving experience on and off the road.
While specific details about the 2025 Toyota 4Runner remain speculative, it’s clear that Toyota aims to redefine the standards for the modern SUV. By blending its off-road heritage with cutting-edge technology and sustainability, the 2025 4Runner is poised to be a compelling choice for adventurers and families alike.
