In an effort to support those experiencing barriers to accessing nature, Snow Peak has launched Campout for Good, an impact-focused community campaign uniting campers across the United States to help create a more accessible and inclusive outdoor environment for all. Registration is free and includes access to exclusive content, a Camp Guide to inspire this summer’s adventures, camp-friendly recipes, and entry into the Ultimate Gathering Giveaway to win an all-expenses-paid trip for two to Snow Peak Way 2022. Learn more about this campaign via the unedited press release below.

Snow Peak, the global outdoor lifestyle brand, has long believed that time in nature restores our humanity. In an effort to support those who have the greatest barrier to accessing nature, Snow Peak is launching an impact-focused community campout campaign beginning May 16. The Snow Peak Campout for Good campaign will unite campers across the United States to champion Snow Peak’s mission to help create a more accessible and inclusive outdoor environment for all.

“At Snow Peak, we deeply believe in the power of camping,” said Matt Liddle, chief operating officer at Snow Peak USA. “Everyone should be able to enjoy the restoration nature has to offer. The Campout for Good harnesses our collective impact and brings our community together to support our non-profit partner Outdoors Empowered Network.”

Because access to nature in the United States is not equal for all due to historic racial inequality and socio-economic disparities, Snow Peak is partnering with the Outdoors Empowered Network for the Campout for Good Campaign. Outdoors Empowered Network is a national network of community-led, youth-centered outdoor education groups that are dedicated to increasing access and diversity in the outdoors through gear libraries and outdoor leadership training.

Snow peak has collaborated with renowned Japanese-American artist, Shogo Ota, to release a limited-edition Campout for Good graphic tee shirt in support of the campaign. Snow Peak will also release a limited-edition Campout for Good Spork in an anodized gold colorway. Campout for Good merchandise will be available for purchase at snowpeak.com. Proceeds from purchases will be donated to the Outdoors Empowered Network.

Snow Peak is providing the community three opportunities to give back to the Outdoors Empowered Network through the Campout for Good campaign:

  • $1 will be donated to the Outdoors Empowered Network for each registered participant
  • Snow Peak will donate all proceeds from purchases of limited-edition Campout for Good merchandise to the Outdoors Empowered Network

Snow Peak will contribute a gear-match donation to the Outdoors Empowered Network Gear Library for each purchase of the following gear:

Ashley Giordano completed a 48,800-kilometer overland journey from Canada to Argentina with her husband, Richard, in their well-loved but antiquated Toyota pickup. On the zig-zag route south, she hiked craggy peaks in the Andes, discovered diverse cultures in 15 different countries, and filled her tummy with spicy ceviche, Baja fish tacos, and Argentinian Malbec. As Senior Editor at Overland Journal, you can usually find Ashley buried in a pile of travel books, poring over maps, or writing about the unsung women of overlanding history. @desktoglory_ash
