RawHyde Adventure Days 2022 (April 21 to 24)

RawHyde’s Adventure Days, postponed last year due to fire risks, is back bigger than ever, and with a new name: the Get On ADV Festival. And Revzilla is on board as a partner this year, bringing more vendors to show you more ADV gear. Over 30 are scheduled to present their wares, from Akrapovic to Yoshimura. There will also be more clinics to attend and more tracks to ride, the latter courtesy of Rever. Whatever your skill level, there’s a Mojave Desert ride in your future.

The cost for three days and nights of ADV immersion therapy and camaraderie is $399. The location is RawHyde’s Zakar compound in the Mojave. The fee includes all your meals and three nights of camping in an RV, camper, or tent, with showers available to wash off the dust of a desert ride.

That’s just the start. BMW Motorrad is sponsoring a showing of the Wyoming BDR film to get your adventure juices flowing and Revzilla will provide a swag bag for each attendee. Thinking of switching mounts? Get a test ride from Aprilia, BMW or Harley-Davidson on pavement or dirt. And your event entry includes a full year of Rever Pro, so be sure to attend the clinic on using the Rever app.

There will be plenty to learn as well, with clinics ranging from fixing mechanicals to air vest technology and GPS skills. Learn to pack more effectively, set up your suspension or change a tire. Or maybe you’re more interested in improving your braking to prevent those surprise skids and front-wheel nerfs.

It wouldn’t be a RawHyde event without some rider training from the folks at this Official BMW Training Center. Clinics on intentional skidding and the basics of dirt riding are on the schedule, and those daily rides will let you practice what you learn in the beautiful Mojave Desert. All the rides are self-guided, so partner up, open the Rever app, and head out!

Arden’s first motorcycle was a Yamaha Enduro, obtained while in high school. It set the stage for decades of off-pavement exploration on dual-sports and adventure bikes. Camping in the middle of nowhere became his favorite pursuit. As a former whitewater river guide and National Park Service seasonal employee, Arden believes in wilderness, wildlife, and being kind to the earth. A self-taught writer who barely passed English classes, he has contributed adventure stories and tested motorcycles and accessories for Rider Magazine and other outlets for nearly 30 years. In that time, he’s worn out two KLR 650s and is currently following the road to the middle of nowhere on his Ténéré 700 and an aging but reliable DR-Z 400S.
