Arc’teryx Introduces the ePE Beta
First up in this week’s overland news, Arc’teryx has updated its best-selling Beta lineup with new PFAS-free Gore-Tex ePE in select models (the Beta Beta Lightweight jackets). Not only does this remove PFAS chemicals from their products but the new membrane provides enhanced performance. It’s lighter and thinner, which allows for higher denier, yet offers the same breathability, waterproofing, and durability, and is softer to the touch. Crucially, these changes drastically reduce the carbon impact required for producing both garments. Better performance with reduced cost to the environment—what’s not to love?
Yakima OverHaul MOLLE Panel
The OverHaul MOLLE panel is a new accessory for Yakima’s OverHaul HD rack, which further maximizes versatility and storage. The panel is made from aluminum and powder coated for lightness and corrosion resistance and is certified to carry up to 100-pounds of gear (which can be mounted both to the inner or outer side). It features a universal grid and slot pattern for optimal flexibility and enjoys a limited lifetime warranty.
