Dude Candle

Off-road enthusiast Matt Realy developed Dude Candle in response to a gap in the scented candle market. Handcrafted in the USA, the lineup includes scents like Race Fuel, Off-Road Dirt, Motor Oil, Black Leather, and Pipe Tobacco. While many assume Dude Candle is branded for men, the scents are also a favorite among the ladies. Each candle is available in a dual-wick 16-ounce or single-wick 8-ounce amber jar with a soy wax blend and comes in a unique box with memorable tissue that’s worth a read. Vanilla Peppermint, Whiskey, and Aged Bourbon seem like appealing stocking stuffers appropriate for the holiday season.

Ashley Giordano completed a 48,800-kilometer overland journey from Canada to Argentina with her husband, Richard, in their well-loved but antiquated Toyota pickup. On the zig-zag route south, she hiked craggy peaks in the Andes, discovered diverse cultures in 15 different countries, and filled her tummy with spicy ceviche, Baja fish tacos, and Argentinian Malbec. As Senior Editor at Overland Journal, you can usually find Ashley buried in a pile of travel books, poring over maps, or writing about the unsung women of overlanding history. @desktoglory_ash
