Overland Classifieds :: 2021 Jeep Gladiator Sport

Here in North America, we have a need for speed. Whether we’re on the freeway, at a grocery store checkout, or going for a run, Daft Punk’s lyrics “Harder Better Faster” pulse through our veins. But the owners of this 2021 Jeep Gladiator Sport have another goal in mind: to slow down from a desert racer’s pace and enjoy the scenery along the way.

The lovechild of a Wrangler and Jeep Comanche, this Gladiator is outfitted with all of the major upgrades, including suspension, tires, armor, lights, and a rooftop tent. The automatic transmission and ever-desired Max Tow package results in a generous 1,535-pound payload capacity. Compare this with the Gladiator Rubicon trim level, and you’ll be pleased with the extra 375 pounds of payload the Sport offers.

From Brandon:

“We built it to be able to comfortably tour all of North America and Mexico. We race Baja professionally in the Vision Wheel 6100 Trophy Truck Spec (winners of the Baja 1000 and 500 last year), and this truck was going to allow us to retrace races comfortably and at a slower pace to take in the beautiful landscapes we are usually flying by at a racer’s pace. As life and racing go, there just hasn’t been any time to use the truck. Perhaps we will build another in the future when the chaos of life and racing has calmed down some and stick to our original plan of taking things a little slower.”

On the zig-zag route south, she hiked craggy peaks in the Andes, discovered diverse cultures in 15 different countries, and filled her tummy with spicy ceviche, Baja fish tacos, and Argentinian Malbec.
