The LR4 is fitted with a V8 motor that produces 375 horsepower, 375 pound-feet of torque, and returns a combined 14 mpg. This powerful but thirsty engine propels the Land Rover to 60 mph in under 8 seconds and will continue to a top speed of 144 mph. On-road performance is matched with excellent all-terrain capability, thanks to a locking rear/center differential, low range transfer case, and a number of intelligent systems such as Hill Start Assist, Gradient Acceleration Control, and Terrain Response.
