Overland Classifieds :: 2009 Toyota Tacoma w/ AT Habitat

The Toyota Tacoma is hands down the most popular overland platform on our forum, with recent examples including a $45,000 2016 TRD Off-Road w/ 2018 Four Wheel Camper Fleet, a $43,000 TRD Off-Road w/ GFC V2, and a $65,000 TRD Expedition Build.

What makes the Tacoma such a desirable vehicle? The engines and drivetrains are long lived, the all-terrain performance is excellent (especially if you opt for the TRD Off-Road variant), OEM and aftermarket parts and accessories are readily available, and the fuel economy is acceptable. Moreover, due to demand, there’s a wide array of aftermarket services on hand that specialize in further uprating the Tacoma for adventure. Today’s 2009 example incorporates a tasteful selection of modifications and accessories, a well-equipped AT Habitat camper top, and is priced at a reasonable $25,000 OBO.

From the Seller:

I am selling my Tacoma with AT Habitat. This has been a great truck and has taken me on many adventures. I am moving into a new rig for full-time living, so this one needs to go. I would drive this truck anywhere right now. We are currently in south Florida and would entertain some delivery options for the buyer. Take a look and let me know what questions you may have.”

2009 Toyota Tacoma

The Tacoma is fitted with a V6 engine that produces 236 horsepower, 266 pound-feet of torque, and returns a combined 16 mpg. A long-lived motor and drivetrain are mated with excellent all-terrain capability, thanks to 4WD and low range (although some models are specified with a more capable TRD Off-Road package, featuring a locking rear differential, uprated shocks and springs, additional armor, and more). The Tacoma was introduced to carry forward the workhorse dependability of the Hilux while raising a new level of refinement and comfort. Today’s offering does not incorporate either the TRD Off-Road or SR5 trim packages but offers the basic amenities below.

  • Power windows and mirrors
  • Air-conditioning
  • 6-speaker audio system
  • Speed-proportional power steering
  • Front and rear cupholders

Distinguishing Features

  • Pro Comp aluminum wheels with BFGoodrich A/T tires
  • Slee rock sliders
  • Old Man Emu suspension with rear U bolt flip kit and Timbren bump stops
  • Front Runner roof rack
  • Warn winch
  • AT Habitat camper top
  • Rear swing away with tire carrier and propane mount
