Overland Classifieds :: 2008 Mitsubishi Fuso FG140 4×4

I’m a big fan of compact overland rigs, but if I were to go for a larger truck and habitation box combo I’d consider the Mitsubishi Fuso FG140 4×4. The Fuso is an expedition-proven, reliable, and relatively economical rig with excellent capability, which is why it’s favoured as the base vehicle for companies such as EarthCruiser. We’ve featured a number of these capable Mitsubishis including this 2013 Fuso Camper, a 2007 Expedition Vehicle, and this 2013 West Elk Wilderness Edition. If you’d like a better idea of how this platform performs when the tarmac ends then join Scott Brady field testing the EarthCruiser EXP on the Expedition Portal YouTube channel. I’m a fan of EarthCruisers, but with used examples still costing more than $300,000, they’re cost-prohibitive for most of us. Today’s 2008 FG140 is therefore very competitively priced at $100,000 OBO considering it was owned by EarthCruiser previously and features premium modifications and an impressive (and removable) insulated habitation box with a lifting roof. This big Mistsubishi looks ready to take on the world.

From the Seller:

2008 Fuso FG140 in excellent condition: the go-anywhere overlander. The truck has always [run] like a champ and has been maintained well through its life. I purchased it from a Fuso dealer, and it was previously owned by EarthCruiser before that.”

2008 Mitsubishi FG140 4×4

The FG140 showcases a 4.9-liter turbo-diesel motor that produces 147 horsepower and 347 pound-feet of torque. A long-lived engine is mated with excellent all-terrain capability thanks to 4WD, a 2-speed transfer case, solid axles, manual locking hubs, and more. The cab is not especially luxurious but it is practical with an easy-to-read instrument panel, noise-reducing high-mount intake snorkel, power windows, power door locks, power steering, adjustable steering wheel, and air ride seats.

Distinguishing Features
