Overland Classifieds :: 2007 Dodge Sprinter 4×4 Expedition Vehicle

The best overland rigs establish a sweet spot between size, capability, and comfort. A rig too large is expensive to run, cumbersome when the tarmac ends, and can prevent access to some locations. Get a rig too small and payload is quickly exceeded, comfort is compromised, and amenities are limited. The most impressive builds are those that offer generous self-sufficiency and comfort while still being easy to drive, relatively cheap to run, and capable when faced with challenging terrain. We’ve had a number of expedition-ready examples that fit this criteria, but my favorite has to be this stunning $100,000 Mercedes-Benz 310 4×4 camper. That said, today’s Dodge Sprinter 4×4 is a close second; showcasing a Whitefeather 4WD conversion, extensive premium modifications and accessories, and a fully equipped Twiga Travelcars habitation box.

From the Seller:

This expedition vehicle was custom built in 2019. It allows you to travel year-round without ever visiting a campground, navigate the roughest roads, and travel through hot and cold weather environments. If you are looking for a vehicle to camp at RV parks, this is probably not for you (although you will get a lot of attention).”

2007 Dodge Sprinter w/ Whitefeather 4×4 Conversion

The Sprinter is fitted with a 3.0-liter V6 motor that produces 154 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. A dependable diesel engine is mated with excellent all-terrain performance courtesy of a 4WD conversion by Whitefeather 4×4. The stock Sprinter 4×4 is technically an AWD, and can deliver only 33 percent of the torque to the front wheels, limiting go-anywhere capability. Alternatively, the 4WD conversion by Whitefeather is a more rugged and capable system, incorporating manual locking hubs, a 6-inch suspension lift, custom-valved Fox shocks, a Dana 60 Super mono-beam front axle with rear axle, 2-speed transfer case, Eaton E-Locker front differential, and more. The Sprinter is finished with a fully equipped habitation box from highly regarded overland outfitters Twiga Travelcars.
