Overland Classifieds :: 2006 Porsche Cayenne Turbo

I recently discussed the often catastrophic depreciation of luxury 4WDs in reference to a 2015 Range Rover V8 Supercharged, which initially sold for over $100,000 but today is listed for under $40,000. Today, I’m back with another bargain high-end 4WD, a 2006 Porsche Cayenne Turbo. This all-terrain rocket ship originally sold for $100,575 yet is now listed on our forum for just $16,000, saving over $84,000. Sure, a Porsche is not the first vehicle that comes to mind when we think about overlanding but don’t write it off just yet. The Cayenne boasts almost 11 inches of ground clearance, center and rear locking differentials, low range, and more. Consequently, this 4WD is very capable on the rough stuff, as demonstrated on the Eurowise Inc YouTube channel. If you’d like to see how this platform can be outfitted for vehicle travel, check out the inspiring builds from Platz Productions and Harrison Schoen. Today’s 2006 offering showcases a well-equipped interior and tasteful modifications and has recently undergone meticulous service, with parts replaced where necessary.

From the Seller:

I bought this vehicle a little neglected and spent time taking care of deferred maintenance to make it a comfortable long-distance soft-roader. Air suspension works and will cycle through the entire range. This example includes the factory tow package and trailer wiring. [It is] very clean underneath with no rust.”

2006 Porsche Cayenne Turbo

The Cayenne is fitted with a 4.5-liter V8 motor that produces 450 horsepower, 457 pound-feet of torque, and returns a combined 14 mpg. A powerful engine provides exhilarating on-road performance with a 0 to 60 sprint of 5.2 seconds and a top speed of 165 mph. Once the tarmac ends, the Porsche is very capable thanks to 4WD, low range, center locking differential, adjustable air suspension, and almost 11 inches of ground clearance. Inside, the Cayenne is exceptionally well-equipped with driver comforts that include:

  • Heated leather seats and steering wheel
  • Panoramic roof
  • Satellite radio and premium Bose audio
  • Cruise control
  • Infotainment system with navigation

Distinguishing Features

  • Spyder headlights
  • Alutech Grip wheels with BFGoodrich Trail-Terrain tires
