Overland Classifieds :: 2006 Ford E-350 4×4

The E-350 4×4 is something of an American hero and is one of the most popular vans on our forum, with recent examples including this 1997 4×4 camper, a 2010 Ujoint 4×4, and a 2007 Super Duty Quigley 4×4. The desirability of this platform is no surprise considering its range of proven engines, generous interior space versus modest external footprint, and impressive capability. Furthermore, it has access to a wide array of aftermarket parts, accessories, and services designed to uprate this platform for the road less traveled. There are several 4WD (or at least AWD) vans on the used market, such as the Toyota Hiace 4×4, Mercedes Sprinter 4×4, Volkswagen T3 Syncro, and Mitsubishi Delica. Still, very few can be so extensively modified for overlanding. If you’d like a better idea of how this rig can be enhanced for travel, check out this Ford E-350 Ujoint 4×4 overland Airstream camper on the New Jersey Outdoor Adventures YouTube channel. Alternatively, watch as Revere Overland puts an E-350 Quigley 4×4 through its paces on some backcountry trails in Kentucky. Today’s low-mileage (49,100 miles) example showcases a Fiberine high-top roof and premium modifications and is priced competitively at $50,000.

From the Seller:

This E-350 is insanely good off-road! Built to get my family out camping way out in the boonies and off-road exploring, she has excelled at both. The van has tackled plenty of trails in California, Arizona, and New Mexico without major issues (the Backway to Crown King, for instance). [It is a] very fun, if heavy, trail vehicle. It has definitely been an epic adventure-mobile, and the manual [transmission] has made her pretty unique and capable offroad.”

2006 Ford E-350 4×4

The E-350 is fitted with a 5.4-liter V8 that produces 255 horsepower, 350 pound-feet of torque, and returns 12/16 mpg (city/highway). This uprates the E-350 with 4WD, high and low range, front and rear Detroit Truetrac lockers, Yukon locking hubs, and more. Inside the cab is not exceptionally luxurious but does feature:

  • Power steering, locks, and windows
  • Captain seats
  • Cupholders
