Overland Classifieds :: 2005 Ram 3500

The Ram 3500 is a popular option for heavier overland builds with recent examples including this 2021 w/ Aluma Tray and OEV Camper, a 2007 Laramie w/ V1 XP Camper, and a 2005 w/ 2016 FWC Hawk Flatbed. Full-size trucks have never been so popular as detailed in Scott Brady’s Expedition Portal article, Full-size Revolution, with many overlanders embracing the additional running costs (which are often marginal) in exchange for greater comfort, payload, towing capacity, power, and often capability. Weight adds up quickly when building a travel rig and you may find that you encroach on the limitations of a mid-size truck, whereas a full-size option ensures you have ample payload for aftermarket accessories, a fully-equipped camper, and passengers. Today’s 3500 showcases the long-lived Cummins 5.9-liter diesel motor, premium modifications, and is priced at $23,000.

From the Seller:

Up for grabs is my 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 Laramie with 194,000 miles. This is one of the cleanest and [most] nicely equipped 5.9-liter Cummins trucks you are ever going to find. The leather interior looks almost new and the paint and body are in great shape. It has all the top-shelf suspension modifications, custom bumpers, and LineX. It’s been immaculately maintained and upgraded. It’s really an incredible truck, and it’s very hard to find these older pre-emission Cummins trucks in this good of a shape, especially with these mods. Partial trade offers are welcome.”
