Küat Introduces Innovative IBEX Truck Bed Rack Ecosystem and More

Küat, a premium vehicle rack systems designer, has revealed its new IBEX family of truck bed racks, aimed explicitly at the overlanding market and featuring a unique open hoop design that enables complete side bed access and is finished in an eye-catching automotive finish. The versatile IBEX is built for performance and backed by Küat’s No Worries Limited Warranty.

The product is made up of an all-aluminum construction, stainless steel, and automotive-grade hardware with a ballistic black powder coat. It also offers numerous T-channels, full and half-height options, and telescoping cross-bars that can be mounted on top of the frame with an adjustable height accessory kit. Available accessories include Molle panels that are Maxtrax and Rotopax compatible, a bottle opener, a shovel/axe holder, a Piston SR mount, an extra cross-bar kit, a grab handle, an antenna mount, a Hi-Lift jack mount, a Retrax mount, and an adjustable height cross-bar kit. 

The IBEX features and specs include:

  • A 1,200 pound static weight capacity
  • 600 pound dynamic weight capacity
  • 300 pound off-road dynamic capacity

All base units include a T-slot mounting kit in the box, which is compatible with various truck models such as the Toyota Tacoma (required), Toyota Tundra (optional T-slot rails), Nissan Frontier (optional T-slot rails), Nissan Titan (optional T-slot rails), and the Jeep Gladiator (optional T-slot rails, coming in Q4).

The IBEX is available for pre-order and will ship in summer 2023, with prices ranging from $1489-$1589, depending on the SKU (stock-keeping units). 

In addition to the IBEX, Küat is launching The Piston Pro bike rack, a more affordable version of their Piston Pro X.

This bike rack features an all-metal construction, OneTap hydro-pneumatic tire arms, no frame contact, tool-free wheel chock slides, a no-fade powder coat, stainless hardware, a semi-integrated high-strand 12mm cable lock, QuickConnect for speedy installation and removal, a FastFit tool-free wheel chock system, PedalPivot, a patented Flatlock hitch cam, and an optional eBike ramp for effortless loading. 

Priced at $1098, shipping for The Piston Pro is scheduled to begin in June 2023.

Küat is also introducing five new HUK family tailgate pads made from fully welded, durable, and eco-friendly TPU fabric. The HUK tailgate pads come in various sizes to accommodate any truck and securely hold bikes with sturdy nylon straps. . This truck pad can transport up to 6 bikes, featuring welded seam construction, bomber TPU fabric, soft touch backing, an extra 1-inch padding on the top for enhanced cushioning, metal G-Hook buckles for a secure hold, a roll-up window for unobstructed backup camera views and easy tailgate access, compatibility with full-size trucks with tailgates 61-inches or wider, and a 3-year limited warranty

Shipping for the HUK tailgate pads is scheduled to start in May 2023, with prices starting at $298 for the HUK 61-inches Straight Tailgate Pad
