Iconic KC HiLites recently introduced the 8-inch SlimLite 8 LED, designed for larger vehicles such as overlanding and full-size trucks, vans, Jeeps, classic Toyota and Land Rover trucks, and tow rigs. This evolution and re-imagining of a classic first introduced nearly 30 years ago, builds on the success of the top-selling 6-inch SlimLite 6.
The SlimLite 8-inch merges full-size capability with top-tier brightness. Emitting an impressive 24,678 lumens per pair, this lighting solution is tailor-made for off-road enthusiasts traversing rugged terrain and remote roads, promising maximum visibility without compromising on style. The SlimLite 8-inch boasts a durable polycarbonate lens encased in a lightweight yet sturdy aluminum housing. Additional accessories, such as SAE driving beams/shields, spread beams in amber, or spot beams in clear or amber, along with the iconic stone guards, are offered to tailor the experience to individual preferences.
The SlimLite 8 is essentially a spot beam, but with the addition of the SAE driving beams in selective yellow or clear, the SlimLite 8, mounted below or in line with the headlights, becomes a street-legal light, and drivers will have the power of the sun at their fingertips for late night, lonely road travel. This simple but innovative innovation marks a first for any KC HiLites product. The amber spread beam shield performs the same as the yellow or clear beams but does not comply with SAE standards and is not street-legal.
Featuring a direct front cooling design and “plug and play” MoistureBlock technology, the SlimLite 8 ensures performance even under demanding conditions. The MoistureBlock technology provides a secure and weather-proof connection, safeguarding against external elements encountered on the trails.
It is worth noting that the wiring harness is sold separately for $80, and one harness powers two lights.
